The National
Organization of Rare and Orphaned Diseases (NORD) list include preeclampsia and
eclampsia, despite the fact that preeclampsia is as common in the US as breast
cancer. Until the year 2000, there was no organization in the USA dedicated to
finding a cure, and only one other Action on
Pre-Eclampsia (APEC) elsewhere in the world. APEC and the Preeclampsia
Foundation are working to form an International Preeclampsia Alliance.
If you have had
preeclampsia, one of the easiest ways to join the fight against it is to sign
up in the Preeclampsia Registry. By registering, you are saying this disease is
important and needs more research
