No person shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in any program or activity available of the Preeclampsia Foundation on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, creed, political belief, age, national origin, language difference, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, height, weight, marital or familial status, or disability.
The Preeclampsia Foundation does not discriminate against any applicant or employee with regard to hiring, retention, promotion, benefits or compensation because of race, national origin, ethnicity, citizenship, gender, age, marital status, creed, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law. Similarly, the Foundation does not discriminate against any client or applicant for services on any of the above criteria, and is committed to the promotion of diversity in all of its programs.
The Preeclampsia Foundation is committed to transparency, the highest standards of financial accountability and appropriate stewardship of our resources. We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization established in 2000.
Funds received by the Preeclampsia Foundation are carefully monitored to ensure their use complies with donor intent. An annual audit of our finances is conducted by an independent certified public accounting firm, overseen by the Preeclampsia Foundation Board of Directors. Board and organization assessments are conducted by an outside party with expertise in board governance and evaluation every two years.
The Preeclampsia Foundation is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. All contributions equal to or exceeding $25.00 will be formally acknowledged. A copy of the 2012 Annual Report or the Preeclampsia Foundation Latest Form 990 may be downloaded here. Printed copies are available upon request.
