To begin the story of my journey, I was 26 years old, happily married to the love of my life, and pregnant with our first baby. I got pregnant with my first son Ryan and got married at the age of 18. I had one complication while pregnant with him, and that was I could not stop eating. I ate everything I saw and well… it showed because I gained almost 75lbs with him. Besides that self-inflicted mishap with Ryan I had nothing wrong in that pregnancy. I am a survivor!!  I was pregnant in my 7th month and was told by an OB DR, "Welcome to pregnancy!" when i informed her about my swelling. My BP and urine samples were all normal that week. On Tues. Oct.19, I measured small for the second week in a row. With a history of pre-e that can be alarming. They sent me for an ultrasound that showed the baby at 5 pounds 5 ounces. At 37 weeks that put her in the 7th percentile. So we went to the hospital for an NST and lab work. I was sent home and told to return the next day for results. They ran another NST. On Sunday, August 7, 2011 my son, Ryan, was born via c-section at 32 weeks and 6 days gestation weighing 3 pounds 13.6 ounces. At that point I had been on hospital bed rest for about one week due to preeclampsia. After trying for a year in total and having a miscarriage at 3 months along, my husband and I rejoiced to find we were again pregnant! At 15 weeks I had awfully painful cramping and rushed to my doctor, a ultrasound showed a low lying placenta, causing me pain.
