my 50/50 chance

I'm Elaine, 27, and I experienced pre-eclampsia during the birth of my son Bradley, who is now 6. I was overdue and was getting a stiff neck. The midwife came out and said that my blood pressure was very, very high so I got rushed in to the hospital and the next minute I was tied to a hospital bed with 5 drips and blood pressure machine and was told I had 50/50 chance of surviving the birth.
