Third time is a charm

As my story goes, it all started with my first pregnancy back in 2009. I found out I was pregnant at 10 weeks after my ex beat me, so a little over two months when I found out. Everything seemed to be going great: she was just starting to move around and I could feel the little flutters of her flipping around in my tummy. At 15 weeks I ended up in the ER with strong cramps not feeling well, and the cold sweats… I knew something wasn’t right. So I went in; they told me everything was fine and it was just a UTI and sent me on my merry little way.
Couple weeks later I felt like I had the flu, so I was back in the ER. Heartbeat was fine, no stress, blood pressure was fine, so again they sent me home saying everything was ok. Thanksgiving comes around she was doing good, growing, strong heartbeat. I was about 24 weeks pregnant and it was 2 weeks before Christmas. I was hanging with some friends and I noticed those sharp pains were back. I really didn’t feel right, I got home and used the restroom because it felt like someone used my bladder as a balloon. I also encountered really bad and painful gas. I use the restroom I feel a little better as I was flushing and getting to walk out of the restroom I noticed something wasn’t right and all of a sudden it felt like my bladder just popped.
My brother and his best friend rushed me to the ER. They tested to see if my water broke, but the test came back negative. So what was this causing everything? I was diagnosed with preeclampsia. 3 days later on that Sunday Dec 13, 2009, I noticed I wasn’t feeling my precious little Nevaeh moving around. So Monday the 14th I go in for a regular check-up. The nurse does an ultrasound and couldn’t find her heartbeat :( They rushed me into labor and delivery and noticed I was in full active labor and I was about to give birth to my daughter.
All of a sudden I got really sick throwing up: high blood pressure and the cold sweats. I was miserable. At 2:41, I delivered my angel Nevaeh Rose at 0.6 ounces and 9 inches long. I delivered her as a stillborn. They rushed her out and tried to get me stabilized and not as sick. I was so weak and sick I couldn’t lift my head to throw up. So I was vomiting all over myself. I was miserable; it’s amazing how sick it makes you in a short period of time. After I was feeling better they ran more test and found out I also had a weak cervix that just gave out and I had e coli.
Then a year later in September I found out I was 10 weeks pregnant again, but at this time when I found out I was already in the process of a miscarriage. I again had sharp pains, and sick but this time I had bad headaches too. About 2 weeks after we found out I was pregnant again I had another miscarriage. I went in to my doctor and he had to make sure everything passed on its own. My husband and I were devastated.
Then Mother’s Day weekend of '12 we found out yet again we were expected. I was terrified I didn’t want to have to go through all this over again. So my doctor made sure I was in good health. As usual everything started out great, but as I approached my 10th week my cervix started weakening and I yet again was miserable. 15th week came along everything started leveling out about 20 weeks hit and they were going to stich my cervix, but it strengthened back up. Everything was good until about 28 weeks; then everything went downhill. I was considered a very high risk pregnancy at this point. I started labor at 28 weeks and dilated at a 1 and my blood pressure started going up, so they put me on blood pressure pills to help maintain a healthy BP. I was stuck in the hospital from Halloween until a week before Thanksgiving.
Then TG passed and I was right back in with more dilating and contractions. At this point I was 30 weeks. I was in there for a week and they let me go. I was right back in at 32 weeks now dilated to a 2. 2 weeks pass I was released. Then a regular check-up, I was 34 weeks and dilated to a 3. So the doctor said “no more playing games; I’m keeping you until baby is here.” Every time I was there they had me on mag and I hated that. I had 3 IVs and I was ready to deliver my daughter. I had steroid shots every week until about 36 weeks. Those shots hurt badly. 35 weeks I was at a 5 and from there on I was stuck at a 5 for two weeks. Finally a day after Christmas, I delivered my daughter Peighton at 2:43 pm weighing 5 lbs., 11oz and 17 inches long. She was healthy and left when we did. Being 3 weeks early, she was our miracle baby with me having lost 2 previously and finally succeeding in staying pregnant for 37 weeks. I was proud of myself. So I have decided no more babies for me! 3 pregnancies and 2 loses was enough for me :(
