If you think you may have one its a good idea to get tested. These disorders can cause other health problems and being aware of them can give your doctors an advantage to dealing with them, like if you show signs of a blood clot etc.. You should also have them done if you are thinking about using the pill for birth control.

For me it finally gave me a piece of mind about what was going on even if there is nothing that needs to be done.

I haven't been tested either...but for me it was because my dr said that insurance wouldn't cover it for that reason. It was just days before we moved so I never checked into it and it kinda got left undone. Kinda, it DID get left undone...lol

Anyway, that said, I would go see about getting tested if you are concerned. I know that my sister-in-law (who didn't get PE) had similar problems...always sick. We thought she was a bit of a hypochondriac (We were bad, we know now! lol) because she was always complaining of something. Well, she was finally tested and has two different forms of autoimmune disorders! Boy, did I feel stupid. lol Perhaps it is enough to get tested simply to ease your mind. Let me know what you decide and how it turns out.

I have not been tested for any sort of disorder since having pre-e.. Mostly because I do not plan on having any more children. I was wondering though if I should be tested, since I seem to be so "sickly."

Just recently, I was the only one in my family (including my high risk baby) to get the flu, even though I had the flu shot. My case was not as bad as what it would have been without the vaccine, but bad enough to send me to er for rehydration, etc... Also, it seems that I catch EVERYTHING. Right now, I've got strep and walking pneumonia, yet my baby only has a runny nose (thank God!). DH NEVER gets sick. I'm just so tired of all of these little illnesses I get. They wipe me out completely for days. And, it seems to have been this way my entire life. I just feel like I can never get "healty."
