told someone else this but the other thing I was told at the drs;

I was telling the nurse about my s/s and how aweful I was feeling and she looked at me and said "Well this isnt about you." ok...whatever. I wanted to cry, if I feel like this, and I'm not ok, is it not safe to say that my baby isnt ok either?

 I really hate this whole thing!

I cant get the same dr every time, they send one dr. from jacksonville once a week to Daytona. I like Dr. I he's awesome I've seen him twice. Its frustrating, because each has their own opinion of normal/abnormal.

I told my mom what she said about me just having "Chronic Hypertension" and my mom laughed. I have been as low as 80/40 when I'm not pregnant. NEVER have had a diagnosis of HTN.

The only other time I've been hypertensive is when I had PE/PPPE with my son.

The whole visit was a waste of time and valuable strength that I need day to day... just to keep going.

On top of which my BP when I got home was high and now my head is killing me again...I am going to try to take a nap and relax....

Florida is one of the worst states when it comes to medical care.

Ugh, how frustrating. Can you request the same one each time? Even though our MFMs and OB work at part of a group, I still only see one of them.

Maybe call or email the one you like and ask for specifics regarding when to go to L&D so you can drop his/her name next time you're there, and in case he can't be reached what he'd like done while you're there. Are they doing weekly labs to monitor things?

And while woooo your bp comes down with rest, it's no reason to brush the overall picture aside. When we were inpatient with our 2nd, I came in with 17x/9x, maybe even higher, they stopped telling me. Stayed for a week... where most days my bp was down to 100/60 with random spikes!! But stay I did and sure enough after a week it was randomly back up and since we were 36w6d we were induced! As you know (and clearly the nurse didn't) it's so much more about the big picture, not a 5 minute picture. I'm hopeful that you will be able to see the doctor you like that "gets" the big picture and will leave you feeling better cared for.

((((Hugs)))))

I wish you had.more.continuity of care!!! It is so hard dealing with groups sometimes.

The jumpiness and irritabilty of the hyperreflexia is so annoying and underacknowledged.

I wish I would have the SAME dr at each visit.
The dr who was there today said my BP's are beautiful... :o
I said, so going from 106/60's to 140-150's/high 80's=90's is beautiful?

I told her how I've been feeling:
H/A, backaches, feeling quite jumpy, hyperreflexia noted by my neuro, Vision changes (spotty) and generally feeling awful.

She shrugged and said well your pregnant.

OMG!

So, I give up and if their lack of concern for all of this hurts me or my baby, my husband and kids will be well off,,,,

Last week the Dr said I was definately going into PE again... this week I got the blow off yet again. I quit.

***edited to add that there was a lady in the waiting room who every 5 min GASPED really loud and yelled OMG! over the flippin TV, I want to gag her. everytime she did it I jumped and my heart felt like it was jumping out of my chest......

I'm sooooo not myself....

Some of my nurses believe that too. My OB and.MFM and rest.of.nurses do not. If I didn't have 8 children at home I wouldn't be.here but since bed rest works for me and bed rest at home wasn't happening, here I am. As far as I can tell everyone's BP fluctuated during the day and responds to difrent stimuli and stressors but the wild fluctuations and highs of PIH and pre-e don't look normal.

Don't worry about a single.l&d nurse. Also remeber they don't have the full picture just a snapshot. The.nurses that poo-poo me weren't there when I can.in with 180/9x BP with a crippling headache, nor were they there when I went from healthy to very sick over a.weekend. I am sure it is the. Same with you. Your Peru knows you and your history. His opinion matters not the nurse who looked at your chart for 30 seconds and has never met you before.

Really???

So I had a LnD nurse tell me that since my BP comes down with rest, there is no way its PE again. However, from what I have researched, it is typical in the early stages for the BP to decrease with rest (on top of the fact that BP's Normally decrease with rest even in normal people.)

Are these people serious or are they just trying to ease my mind. I already know whats going on, I've lived it once before.

Go to the Peri today...
