Welcome Earthside, Liam!

How is your recovery going?

Congrats on your baby boy! Welcome to the world, Liam Tyler!
I remember those long, and seemingly impossible, treks to the NICU for feedings. The NICU nurses were never worried about my daughter, but I scared the heck out of them. I am very happy for you that you get to stay with him! Can you get checked out before you leave? Your doctor might want to check out the fever. My swelling got worse before it got better. Most of us have problems with that, and our doctors seem to have a wide range of responses to it. Mine did nothing. I might have felt better sooner if she had prescribed something for it, but they don't always want to do that when you are nursing.

I'm still in the hospital with my preemie. He's in the NICU and has been since being born at 35 weeks and on April 30th. I'm so lucky to be staying with him!
They discharged me one day too early IMO. I'd had a low fever and uncontrollable shakes and chills.
I had to walk to and from the NICU to try to nurse him every 3 hours. It wasn't the most successful. My BP stats have stayed up in the 130-140/80-90. They said those numbers are fine and normal. From all the walking my legs and feet have swollen up more than ever before. I can barely move my toes or bend my ankles. My hands are still really swollen and my face, too. But, nothing serious has happened to me.
I'm just grateful to be sharing a room with my son while he tries to get better and while I deal with my pain and healing. We named him Liam Tyler. He was 8 lbs 6 oz 21" long. HUGE for a 35 weeker! :)

Lisa,
I'm in Nashville! Your post was from last night - are you still here? I'd love to talk to you. Would you send me an email?? Bmarielee@aol.com.

I am now in L&D being monitored and waiting on lab work. I'm also having regular painful contractions or the first time in this pregnancy. I pray they keep me!!!

So glad you found a way to get to the hospital. Good luck with everything. We will be thinking of you and your little one. Let us know how everything goes.
Also, I had to edit out the name of the hospital. The forum rules don't allow naming hospitals and doctors on the forums.

Well I called the on-call doc and she said to come in immediately to be evaluated so we borrowed money from a church friend and are taking our girls there and are headed down to Nashville to ***** hospital. Thanks everyone! I'll keep y'all posted!

I am sorry you still feel awful. This is the one time that you pray for the stomach flu or something else that will just go away.
Can you call your doctor to see what they think you should do? It is very hard to say if your levels are mild, moderate, or high because they may have changed so drastically since the last time you had labs. Severe headaches, upper right abdominal pain, feeling terrible, and visual changes are all symptoms that most doctors would want to check out immediately. I hope you can figure something out. Is there a hospital that is closer? Good luck.

My headache just won't let up and my pain now just feels like heartburn that hurts through to my back. My BP is now 149/97 and my vision not-so-nice. We have to drive an hour away and have no gas money to get there.
I do agree that getting more blood work done is a good idea, to at least get peace of mind if anything else.
For pre-E are my levels mild or moderate or high?
PS nobody is offending me :D
