Oh and I go to my doctor every two weeks. He GA e me a script for heartburn. Didn't do any lab work

They did a 24 hour test but that was earlier on in my pregnancy. I think around 28 weeks. They haven't done any bloodwork on me. I guess I need to be a little more assertive with my doctors. They frustrate me. The abdominal pain comes and goes (and has absolutely nothing to do with what I eat or how much). It seems to be a lot better on days when I rest.

I'm glad you went in to get checked out but I'm surprised they didn't draw blood for a Pre-e/PIH/HELLP panel at the hospital. If I had persistent upper abdominal pain I would request bloodwork to check for HELLP.

Also, I was wondering if your doc ran a baseline 24 hour urine on you? I'm also a chronic hypertensive, and my OB said if & when my pressures go up (even on meds) they will run a 24 hour urine test to check for preeclampsia.

When is your next appoinment?

We'll I took Tums and it did nothing so I went to l&d and all they did was give me a prescription heartburn Med that was disgusting. And did nothing. No protein in urine as of yet and BP was 142/92. Which is pretty high since I'm on 500mg of Aldomet. Guess I'll have to deal with the pain.

I would trust your instincts. If you are concerned enough to post here it would probably be a good idea to call the doc. You could always take a Tums while you are waiting to talk to the doc or l&d.

I'm currently 31 weeks and 2 days with my second daughter and I'm concerned about the symptoms I'm having. I went to the hospital with my first daughter at 36 weeks because my stomach was hurting me so bad I was not able to eat. They told me it was heartburn and sent me home. I subsequently went back to my OB complaining of constant headache and itching all over. Had I not been 17 at the time I would have done my research and found that these were all symptoms of pre-e. I carried my daughter to term but my BP was in the 200's and I don't want to go through this again. So now I am having the stomach pains again. Is this something I should go to L&D for or are they just going to tell me to tale Tums again?
