When I took Labetalol it did nothing to my bloodpressure. My doctor always asked me to call if the medication did not seem to lower my bloodpressure and/or lower it too much. Can you call your doctor before your visit in Friday; perhaps they want you to adjust your dosage before Friday, to see how your body reacts. How have your pressures been today?

Well, it doesn't matter at this point as I have been on it for over a week with no change and I see my dr on Friday. I'll just see what he says.

I'm not sure, but someone out there knows because they've been on both in a subsequent pregnancy...

I have been on atenolol the whole pregnancy and the dr just added hydralazine on Tuesday. I haven't seen a change in bp yet. How long does it usually take? (I took 3 doses on Tuesday, 4 yesterday and one so far today.)
