yup, it can take a while before the hypertension goes away completely, but the same rules about symptoms apply to the postpartum period- watch for pressures above 160/110, swelling, headaches, etc.
You can develop preeclampsia, hellp, and eclampsia postpartum! Watch especially closely if your swelling has not begun to subside, and go into the Emergency room if you find you're getting worse.
