I did speak with the health nurse this week about the Wisconsin teen. The nurse was really looking for a support group for teenage mothers who had lost babies. I told her we did not offer a specific service like that but would be willing to support her in any way we could. She was going to search the Milwaukee area to see if she could find a group but said she would re-contact us if she needed further assistance.

Ann Marie, have you heard from anyone at the PHN's office? I'm wondering how they're doing, too!

Anne,

The public health department is closed for the weekend, but I will call on Monday and see if I can be of any help. I live outside of Milwaukee so feel free to contact me if I can ever be of any help to anyone locally.

Wisconsin Teen loses her baby--need support

A 15 yo girl from Milwaukee recently lost her baby at term due to preeclampsia and she and her family could use your support. If you are in the area, are a teen who has also lost a baby due to preeclampsia, or are just willing to be a source of moral support to this family (either by phone, in person or email), please contact Public Health nurse
