I am so sorry for your lost. I lost my little girl about 5 months ago, so I can feel your pain. I also have some things framed on my shelf in the bedroom. And just the other day, I put together a scrap book. It does help the healing process. Take care.

Also, if anyone needs help making a shadow box, or if you want suggestions on what to put in it (poems, etc.), let me know. I am more than willing to help. I made one for my girlfriend's sister (she recently lost a baby). She told me that it helps to have something to look at and remember her baby by.

Amaya - HELLP and severe Pre-E at 21 weeks

When I lost Amaya, I needed a reminder of her everywhere. I had an angel hanging from my rear view mirror in my car, I had a poem in a frame at my desk at work, I made a special bear with wings at Build-A-Bear (crying the whole time - the cashier gave me a hug) My husband stopped me at the Shadow Box. I made it anyway and put it in the spare bedroom. I told him that when he is ready that I will put it in our room. About a couple of weeks later, he was ready but he wanted the box on my side of the room (Sometimes I catch him on my side of the bed looking at it.)

As for the adhesive, try asking the people in the craft store. Tell them the objects for the shadow box. There is a glue called "Gorilla Glue" (I think). It is supposed to work on everything. Let me know if this helps.

A shadow box is a great idea! I too just recently put together a shadow box for my son. I've arranged items in it but have not yet figured what adhesive I should use to make the items stay when I put it vertical. It's just sitting in my living room until I get it done. I never thought about hanging it in my bedroom. That may be a good idea for me. I like looking at the shadow box because it makes me feel close to my son. I don't know if my husband can handle it though. He prefers not to look at pictures and reminders of our son because it just brings the pain back to the surface for him.

I have created a shadow box for my daughter as a part of my healing process. It is hanging in my bedroom on a shelf and I absolutely love it. I used a poem that I love, her first picture (her ultrasound)and her stats (DOB, weight, etc.) This is my way of honoring her.

If there are any scrapbookers out there, I would highly recommend it.
