Thanks for checking in. The last update I got was that the baby was still doing well with no Vent and was now up to 1 pound 10 ounces. I havent been able to bring myself to go to the hospital to visit and sicne she had the baby we lost an 11 year old cousin to cancer so we have sort of been in our own world dealing with that along with my angels anniversaries coming up.

I was wondering how your cousin and the baby is

She was just taken into surgery to deliver. She is 1 day short of 27 weeks and went into HELLP. I really hope her little one is one of the miracles who makes it home from the NICU.

Its hard for me to think about the happy endings for early preemies like this because I delivered at 27 weeks and he was only with us for a week and our last son was stillborn at 25 weeks. I really hope she delivers and they both do good. The NICU is amazing and the staff has already been down. Its the same hospital I was at and the NICU is one part of the hospital that has it all down and is on top of things. Thats one thing that makes it hard is it is the same hospital and its still so new to me. I just hope the Drs and nurses will be more pro-active with her then they were with me.

I know how hard it can be to see someone else go through the same thing you have gone through. I hate PE, why can't they find a cure or at least a way to help us extend our pregnancys. I will have in my prayers so that everything goes well at least lets look at the bright side she will be 27 wks. My second daughter made it and she was 25 wks. Just make sure that she speaks with the neonatology team to see what they can do for her in any event that she delivers.

I really hope everything will work out for her and the baby. It would be very difficult for me to see her. I would personally want to wait a bit. I'm an emotional person and I would probably lose it in front of her. Maybe you're stronger than I am.

Oh, I hope things go well for her and the doctors are able to manage the disease for a few more weeks! Be supportive of her if you can, but know that it will likely be very difficult for you and bring up a lot of memories and feelings. Give yourself a break if you just can't do it- 9 mos. was not that long ago. I'll say a prayer for your cousins and their baby.

Well I just found out my husbands cousin is admitted into the hospital with PE, I thought she was almost at the end but I called and talked to her and she is only going to be at 27 weeks on Monday. Her protein levels are already up over 3000. She seems like she is in good spirits, she had it with her 1st baby then fine with her 2nd and now this is her 3rd... Its how I was as well. She was admitted into the same hospital I lost our little Anthon at 9 months ago and Im so worried for her. I did however make it till I hung up the phone with her till I started to cry. Trying to decide if I should go see her. Its so hard with these horrible diseases because only women who have experienced it really can understand especially with early diagnoses in the 20th weeks.
Guess I just needed to vent a little bit and ask for prayers for her and her little one.
