Hi Pugmommy,
On a light note. I am also a pugmommy to 2 beautful pug boys, Bubba and Zeke, and a real mommy to my beautiful daughter Bella. Interestingly enough my name is also Jennifer. Just a little strange. I was so disappointed growing up that I has such a common name that I was convinced I would give my daughter a name that was uncommon. I have since met quite a few baby Bella's but i don't care b/c I still love the name. Does your daughter have a middle name? Glad to hear things are going okay so far.

Congratulations all.. and never underestimate the influence of weather extremes, especially when the power goes out! I delivered Lucy (early) when the crop of "icestorm 2000" babies were being harvested. One night/early morning I rang the bell a bunch of times and nobody came. Eventually one wrecked-looking L&D nurse stuck her head around the door and asked how urgent my need was. They were just finishing their 6th C-section of the night and that was on top of vaginal deliveries!!!!

There must have been something in the air or water last Sept., because I know like 5 others due at the same time!

I'm in MD and we kid that it must have been due to the blackout during hurricaine Isabel;)

Good luck! We have the exact same due date - June 24th! I also had a sudden onset of preec at 36 weeks when carrying my 2nd. This is my third and I'm on Labetalol for PIH which started at 20 wks. Although I already have some bp issues, I feel good about this preg too. This site will definitely help you overcome some fears you may have!

Suzanne, our stories sound very similar. I love hearing that your 2nd went so well!
I am so sorry about the trouble you are experiencing this time. I hope the new meds work. Hopefully once everything gets straightened out, you can relax and enjoy the pregnancy.(a feat that is diffcult for Mom's like us:)

Hello and Welcome! Your first pregnancy sounds much like my first one. My son was born at 32 weeks after about 2 weeks of severe PE. That was 10 years ago. He was in the hospital for 19 days---he was born weighing 3.5 pounds. My second pregnancy was almost perfect!! No PE, my second son was born full term weighing 8lb 2 oz. That's the good news---however, I am now 13 weeks into my 3rd pregnancy and am having blood pressure problems and was on Aldomet, had a rare and serious side effect from that and am now on Labetoral (don't know if I am spelling that right!). So I guess I am saying it's very hard to say what will happen with a pregnancy after one affected by PE!! But I wish you all the best, and will be eager to hear how things are going. It's WONDERFUL you are at 22 weeks and feeling good!!
