A natural finish line... that's too cool and so deserved!

Daniel is just precious, in my professional unbiased opinion. Every night when we tuck him in to bed, he wants a story. And all week, he's asked to hear about baby sister and how to be a big brother, and grins ear to ear hearing about it.

Just got back from the doctor and we get to stay pregnant! As far as fluid, my biggest pocket measures 5.9 all by itself. There's smaller ones on each side and a few tiny ones here and there. Doctor is pretty optimistic that we'll make our scheduled delivery on 6/5! I go back next Friday and then Princess will be here the following Tuesday at 38w3d.

It's weird...this whole time I've associated that finish line with WHEN I'll get preeclampsia or at least have fetal indicators to need delivery. But it's just now occurred to me that there is a natural end to this thing, and we're...THERE! :lol:

The baby shower was incredible. Wall to wall people filling the fellowship hall at our church. My husband gave a really heartfelt speech about how God worked a miracle once for Daniel to be here, and he felt like we've been given another one. Everyone there has lifted us up in prayer and we told them that that was worth more than any gift they could have sent.

They put this Miss America-like sash around my belly that said PRINCESS, and the next day Daniel asked me to put it back on. I threw it over my shoulder, but he jerked it down on my belly and said "no mommy, it goes this way." HA HA! He's so excited about being a big brother. I'm hoping that sticks once she's here. ;)

I'll keep crossables crossed that things hold steady at 7 or above for at least the next week. :)

YEAH BABY! 36 WEEKS AND 1 DAY!

MomTimesThree - I think that AFI was about the same as last week. It's not great, but at least it's hanging in there at the very low end of normal. My next ultrasound is supposed to be Thursday. I'll talk to the doctor tomorrow and make sure we're on the same game plan.

I've been really paying attention to kick counts, but that's been pretty easy since she's kicking SO HARD! I'm tall, but so is she (femurs are 75th percentile), and she has no trouble reaching my ribs. :lol: I never went through this before, the whole 3rd trimester experience. I look at Daniel's going home pictures when he was 4 lb 4 oz, and I can't believe I'm carrying a baby even bigger than that!

My baby shower is tonight. Another first... being pregnant at my baby shower. ;)

5 lb 12 oz sounds great! 36 weeks is so close to full term. I really hope you can hold out another week, but if you have to evict baby sister now I think you will be just fine. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Aww, was that lower, better or the same as last week? I'm crossin' crossables lil' sis can hang in there for another week at least... though already close to 6lbs sounds very nice and healthy to me. When is the next check.

I don't remember how long it took... I think probably an average day or two turn around.
