I too am having the same ultra sound test done on the 13th of this month. I can take it or leave it because with my daughter all was great and then 4 weeks later had the test again and all h*ll had broken loose. It provides a little relief I guess or some "caution" just like any other test. Try not to stress about it, and trust me, I know, it's easier said than done! :D

Your welcome! I understand, because I did that! I put myself practically on bedrest. If you do a forum search for "notching" you can see some of the posts, including the one where I posted freaking out and others here reassured me that it might not mean anything. (In my case, I delivered a 7.4 lb 36 weeker, so definitely not even a tiny bit of growth restriction and no pre-e either.)

That said, I had notching with DS, and know some others here did as well, and it turned out to be much ado about nothing. It stressed me out. So, I am not too optimistic in the reliability of this test for predicting problems.

Yep, that is what it sounds like to me too.

uterine ultrasound??

My MFM is going to do some kind of uterine doppler or ultrasound at 22 weeks, he says it can help him assess my risk for pre-e with this pregnancy?? My OB had never even heard of it before....has anybody had this? If you did, did it prove to be accurate so far? I'm just curious because if it's really possible to determine the risk why wouldn't everyone get this? I don't want to get false hopes if he tells me it looks good or freak out unnecessarily if he says I'm at high risk again, so just curious if anyone else has experience with this kind of thing.
