I'm so glad to hear your home and that your blood pressure is trending downwards. Mine is as well.. I did still get the sour face too from our OB, but I think she'd be pleased with our current numbers. :) I'm so curious to see what happens post 6 weeks and what our new normal to me. It's just wild to take my BP now and what I know pregnant would be a 150+ is just a normal 120 or less! It's so weird.

Our son was a total grunter! Many many sleepless nights there. I'm thankful that so far (knock on wood) lil' miss is a quiet calm lil' baby. I did notice that it seems to have taken almost to her due date (July 31st) for her to be more wakeful and alert- she has been a tired, sleepy lil' thing.

Yes we are both home. Wow, he feeds every 2 hours or less and grunts most of the night. We are sleepless but making it ok. Gabriel is gaining weight well so no worries on that.
My BP has decreased but is still not normal. It ranges 130s/95-100. But, it has come down quite a bit since I delivered. I am giving it the requisite 6 weeks before I become concerned. My OB still makes the sour face when she sees my BPs.
How are things with you and yours? I hope you are doing well and your nights are better than mine!

Update: we have graduated to the last room in the NICU. They call this feeders and growers. Gabriel is breathing fine. He is maintaining his temperature. Our jaundice scare was only a scare. And I think he has learned to suck. He still has an NG tube to top off his feedings. They want him eating 35 cc of formula/breast milk (which has really come in!) every feed. I think it is a lot, but sometimes, he does finish. The things they want for him now are to finish or mostly finish (less than 5 cc left in bottle) at every feed. So we are still working there. But, he was about two weeks early and I was expecting a two week visit to the NICU. I think he improves every day.

Welcome to tiny Gabriel! Congratulations! I'm glad you're recovery has been relatively smooth, and as you know keep watching your signs and symptoms until 6 weeks pp!

I'm so glad pumping is going well and the LCs and NICU have been so wonderful. I hope Gabriel figures out the whole eating and maintaining his temp and he can join you at home very soon!
