I had them after I was pregnant, my heart rate was spending up, they went away and my doc said it was stress related.

I was actually at my endocrinologist a few weeks ago and my thyroid levels were in normal range. I mentioned my palpitations to my endo just in case but he said my thyroid is fine so that shouldn't be causing them. I am seeing him every 6 weeks so I will have my levels checked again in a few weeks. Last time they went away when I got my BP dip around 20 weeks, I hope they do the same this time!

How often are they checking your thyroid levels during pregnancy? I've known a couple of women who had palpitations when their thyroid levels were off.

Has anyone else experienced these while pregnant? I didn't get any with #1, had some with #2 and now this time I have been having them pretty much since 5 weeks and and I have them almost every day, anytime I am sitting or lying. With #2 my OB sent me to a cardiologist to have them checked out and they did an echo and didn't find anything abnormal. I mentioned it to my MFM last week and he said that if I continue to have them he is going to put me on a holter monitor to keep an eye on them and just make sure that everything is okay. I know they can be normal in pregnancy but because of my history of severe PE and the clotting stuff I have going on, my MFM wants to make sure there isn't something more going on. Even though I tell myself they are normal in pregnancy, I get extreme anxiety every time they start and that just makes them worse. I am 15w3d and my BP is fine around 110/70 which is what it has been since the beginning (still crossing my fingers for the 2nd tri dip in a few weeks!). My hubby is out of town tonight and tomorrow so it is making me worry even more because he isn't here with me so I think that is causing even more palpitations! I don't get short of breath or dizzy with the palpitations but they are so annoying!!
