Thanks for asking it all went well! My BP was back down to low numbers yesterday morning and my MFM thinks that my "new norm" for diastolic might be in the 80s now, since it's normal for my BP to be slightly elevated this far along (37 weeks tomorrow!). My urine is fine and BPs fine today. No other symptoms. I love that doc, he is such a great combo of super careful/knowledgeable and excellent bedside manner. Very empathetic to what happened with me last time.

Now, for some reason, I've been nauseous for the last 3 hours. Having contractions too (but I have them all the time-not having a clear rhythmic pattern as far as I can tell). Called my Doula anyhow and she said maybe I have a bug (I do teach 3-yr-olds at a school and there are always a million things going around), but if I start having other symptoms let her know. She lives a couple of blocks from me so that is awesome and gives me lots of peace of mind.

The baby is huge! Their estimate at my biweekly growth ultrasounds is consistently 99 percentile. Yesterday they estimated him to be 8 lbs 14 oz already. Maybe my stomach just feels sick cuz it's up below my breastbone now, I think? And I'm carrying this colloso baby around? I am fairly petite when not pregnant, and lately am really feeling my so-far-around-40-lb. weight gain.

Anyhow. In bed again. Not feeling good. All seems well though. Sigh.

Thanks ladies.

I'm glad you called, how did your MFM appointment go? I'm thinking of you and hoping for the best!

Glad you called. Anniversary dates are very tough, and it's just plain hard not to feel anxious around them. Glad you're seeing a favorite doctor tomorrow and hope all is well!

Thank you so much for your replies! I actually called before I got them. One of the things I have learned since my last birth is go ahead and be (what I might perceive to be) a pain in the *! Who cares if it's just anxiety. Ask questions, call the doctor. I guess I needed to post in order to get myself to make this call, though (after hours calls are harder for me).

Before I called I got some BP readings that were even higher than the first ones but they were not consistent-went down literally within 10 minutes. The doc said to take a break and we'll check tomorrow when I come in...she is not concerned with any readings of under 140 systolic and 90 diastolic, especially if they are inconsistent. I also did 2 urine dips and the color read somewhere between no protein and "trace"-might've been none, though-the color was not strong.Though this doc is the doc I don't really like I think her instructions to take a break were spot on-that is how I was feeling before I called, and I have been anxious and in my head all day, laying on the couch. Tonight before I called I pulled out my hospital records from the week before I seized, labor, the seizure and then the hospital- I have read it all before but it was painful and scary to read. I think I need to look back, but not stare. Especially now that I'm this far along.

Tomorrow I see the MFM I do really like (who is scheduled to do my planned C section in 2.5 weeks). I will bring my BP cuff and urine dip strips to work tomorrow, but I strongly suspect that everything is fine and I am anxious because I'm heading into anniversaries of when the you-know-what hit the fan 3 years ago. It was so late in my pregnancy when everything went mysterious.

I am going to try and watch something fluffy and get some sleep. I have had lots of anxiety and adrenaline going for the last couple of hours. Thanks ladies.

Your peace of mind is always worth a call.

Yes, call, follow your instincts. If it's nothing, then great, if it's something, it's a good thing you called. I hope it's nothing! :)

Should I call the doctor?

My BP is 127/82. I am 36.5 weeks and have been feeling like crap all day-I actually stayed home today because I'm so exhausted. The exhaustion started yesterday about noon. I thought maybe it was just being this far along and maybe still being anemic (I was some weeks ago and they have been waiting to test me again for numbers were going up last they checked though).

I'm more worried about the diastolic number...they told me at the MFM's office anything 90 and above I should call. But 127/82 is high for me...the last recorded time my diastolic was that high was 9 days after I had the seizure 3 years ago, when I was home and on antiseizure and BP meds.

My BP was 120 something over 80 a week before I had the seizure, and diastolic 80 a week before that, during a period in which I now suspect I was preeclamptic-last time that was at almost 40 weeks.

I haven't checked my urine yet, but will.

I have a doctor's appt tomorrow afternoon anyway...but I should probably just call, to be safe, shouldn't I...?
