I'm really curious whether they can change your medications. I didn't respond well to Labetelol when I was on it just after Nathanael was stillborn and I was on dialysis...I was also vomiting every morning because of it. When they FINALLY changed me to metoprolol, I did much better and have been on it ever since. It never has taken my heart rate too low. Praying that you'll make it to 37 weeks!! Sarah

How is your BP today? Thinking of you.

I will be 31 weeks on Monday. I'm hoping it is just the stress. I'm going to try to stay optimistic! I really want nothing more than to make it to 37 weeks and bring a healthy baby home with me!

I would discuss with your doctor if an increase/change of meds is necessary or if you should just monitor for now. My doctors always told me that stress can affect your BP, but not so significantly/permanently.Glad your labs look good. How far along are you?

So, I had my first NST on Tuesday. It was great and baby looked awesome. BUT when they checked my BP it was 160/100. Highest reading I have had so far. I did miss my mid-day Labetolol. I forgot to bring it with me to work and I was going to take it when I got home. I also ate Mexican for lunch and had sweet tea. (probably not the best choices, I know).
My 24 hour urine from the day before was 155. Baseline was 130. 6 weeks ago it was 138. So, not bad. I have no swelling either. They rechecked my BP several times and the lowest it got to was like 148/90. So, my doctor took me out of work for the next day, ordered a CBC and Liver panel (which were fine) and gave me first round of steroids for baby's lungs.

I had another NST yesterday and it was fine. BP was 136/84. I will add, I took two Labetolol (400mg total) before my appt. I also got my second steroid injection. She let me go back to work today. (I only work half days anyway in the same office my OB is)

I have also had a lot of stress as there have been two deaths in my family in the past 3 days. So, I can feel the anxiety. So, that may be the reason for the increased BP.

Do you think it's time to push for an increase in med or a different med? My heart rate has definitely increased, which makes me think I need a stronger beta blocker like Metoprolol. I am chronic hypertensive and have tachycardia, so this is to sort of be expected. I think it's great signs that I have no swelling and protein is normal. Or should I wait a week or so and just monitor it? I definitely don't want my BP being uncontrolled to affect my placenta or anything and send me into pre-e mode.

Any advice would be appreciated!
