I think I just got a hot flash just thinking about Mag.

Fan and cold towels. Lots and lots of cold towels. I had an epidural with our 2nd while on Mag, it was a very quiet peaceful labor... except for the whole had to be induced part of it. Keeping cool I think is what allowed me to ward off the immense sluggishness that Mag causes.

I was only on mag for 3 hours before my son was born, but my goodness it made it so much harder to move and probably push. Was wondering if anyone could share ideas for keeping labor moving along while on mag. Positions? Etc.?

Also, did you have an epidural or no? I'm wondering how an epidural + mag would feel.
