Are you being followed by a high-risk OB? If not, I would definitely ask for a referral just to make sure all your bases are covered.

Hi - I too was induced at 37.5 weeks and had a perfectly healthy little girl. I am now 24 weeks along with baby number 2. I think that statistically you have about a 30% chance of developing Pre-e again, but there can be lots of factors that contribute to your chances. Did you ever have a big blood work done after your baby was born to see if you had any underlying conditions? If they found nothing that is good. My bp's were similar to yours, but they did go up a bit around 16 weeks, so my OB sent me to a perintologist who specilizes in pre-e and he determined that I have a high cardiac output (ie - a high pulse) so he put me on some blood pressure medications. You want to make sure that your OB knows about your past history of pre-e (if they are new to you) and that you are very aware of the symptoms to look out for. Ask your OB if they are going to be doing anything special for you this time through. Good luck to you - this is a great place to come with questions.

It's hard to say if it will definitely happen again, although the chance is definitly there, from what I've seen. So far your bp has been great! Think positive!!

Hi, I am new here. I had Preeclampsia with my first pregnancy and was induced at 37.5 weeks and gave birth to a very healthy baby boy. I am now 21 weeks pregnant and am starting to get nervous about seeing that steady rise in bp. My blood pressures so far have been 125/68, 136/74, 126/70, 126/69, and 126/76. My next appt is on the 26th. What are my chances of having it again? I start worrying that my bp will be high when I go in and then I worry that my worrying will cause my bp to go up.
