This is such good news, 34 weeks is such a good place to be. My son was born at 33 weeks and he stayed in the hospital for about 3 weeks only and I think there is a lady here who said that she roomed in with her baby of 34 weeks and went home with home too at discharge. But I hope that you make it a few more weeks.

So glad to hear you guys are almost to 34 wks that is great and lol on the buffet hey pregnant women get hungry its great that you are willing to do that for her. Take care and keep us updated.

Thanks for the update. Keep doing what you're doing, one day at a time, it seems to work. Congrats on making it as far as you have; continued prayers for a longer and healthy pregnancy.

Oh wow!!! Despite everything being thrown your way (and DW) you guys are handling things like real pros! Great news on the 24hr urine and labs!! I am so happy for you guys!

I was so excited when I read your son's weight - CONGRATS!

Almost to 34 weeks now :) Things are looking good - labs are stable as is BP, basically reads just like last week so no point in a new thread. 24hr came in down from last week (450) which was encouraging too.

We all (OB included) are feeling pretty confident that we'll make it a few more weeks at least... unless we don't make it. (sounds odd, but does make as much sense as anything with PE eh?).

Continued well wishes as you approach the 35 week mark. It truly is a "one day at a time" gig for you right now and I recall the anticipation of hitting the big benchmarks. In spite of some of the elevated readings that your wife has had, it does sound like the pregnancy is going well. I would say at this point you should be cautiously optimistic, albeit vigilant, about a successful outcome.

Keep a close watch and moving forward day by day, event by event...your 35 weeks will arrive.

Well, I will say the weight has us excited - ignoring the possible +/- 1lb, it seems he is about twice the size Isabel was at birth - but I hear boys need that extra when they are preemies. I keep thinking about someone's comment that PE babies develop faster and grow in anticipation of early delivery... I realize this is likely unsupported by medical facts, but it is a nice thought.

Emotionally it is a great boost to know he is doing well though as you can all imagine. I just hope that we're able to make it to 35 weeks now... not that far away. If we make it to 36 then we might be able to deliver in our local hospital and save the 45 minute drive to Boston... One week at a time though.

I think the stress of the situation has become routine now so it is affecting us less...

Wowwie, wow, wow! What a little chunk! My little guy was born at 32 weeks and he was 4lbs 4oz and we thought that was huge! Congratulations mom, dad, and little (big) man!
