We've decided we need to limit the amount of space taken up by information in our signatures. We've had a complaint that long signatures make the pages really slow to load if you're working on a slower connection. We've already developed new guidelines for moderators and, we'd be very grateful if you would follow suit.

We ask that you limit your personal information to 5 lines max, plus one weblink. I know that sounds severe, but there is a way to make it less so: use your member profile pages to add favourite links and more complete personal info. Check it out: we have space for hobbies, quotes, news, favourite links, homepages. It would be really good to see members using each other's profiles more often.

And the upside: we'll get more posts to a page; and it'll be easier to read all round.
