Thank you all so much. I know that you all can share my joy at reaching each birthday. So easily could this be a time of sorrow for us, as it is for so many that experienced this disease.

Each day is a miracle, and these birthdays signal the year to realize that.

I know how you feel! The whole week before Hannah's first birthday I cried, remember what was going on each day the previous year leading up to her crazy birth. Then the week before her second birthday...same thing! Now she turns three in August and I guarantee there will be more tears! My husband doesn't understand. But I am just so thankful for my little peanut! Happy birthday to your big boy![:D]

LOL today, my oldest son turns 4. It was a hard realization about 3 months ago when I thought hmm next year we will be doing kindergarden readiness tests... jaw drop OMG I am SOO not ready *sigh*
It's always a mixture of joy, shock, and the realization that his birth was the ultimate end of a very trumultuous and hard time in our lives. This year will be one of the first that we aren't dwelling very much on how he got here, but rather where he's at now :)

I can't believe it, my little 2-pounder is going to be TWO on Sunday! It doesn't seem possible.

I surprised myself over the weekend by getting all weepy, thinking about his birth. I knew last year I'd be upset, but I didn't expect that many tears this year. I suppose no matter how old he gets, he'll always be tiny to his mommy.

I got a weekly update today from a web magazine. It said something like "Congratulations. Your baby will be 2 this week. Enjoy the toddler years. School will be starting soon!" ARGH! How could they write that?! YIKES
