Amy, your an outstanding friend!
From what your saying it does sound a lot like HELLP syndrome. Scary stuff! I'll be curious to see what the labs came back to say.
None the less, your friend and baby are in my thoughts.

Hi,

I am posting for a friend whose wife just had what sounds like HELLP syndrome. Their daughter was born three days ago, at 28 weeks. Mom and baby are doing OK right now. Mom's BP shot up to 215/120 and she started vomiting, having chest pains, and her liver enzymes were out of whack, so I assume it was HELLP. I don't have a lot of details but just wanted to ask that you all keep them in your thoughts. They are in northeastern Ohio, near Youngstown. Will update when I have more info. Thanks!
