Hi Eleni, I think one of the early posts about the Duggar family was written by someone with a connection to the family? I tried searching for the post but can't seem to locate it.

I also just saw the following article on AOL, and was horrified by some of the reader comments (basically saying something bad was bound to happen after having had many kids) --

It really bothers me (mainly for PE awareness, but also for the Duggars' sake) that people could be (and apparently are) mistakenly thinking that PE is caused by having a certain number of kids. I don't know what to do about it, and am sure that the PF is doing everything it can to get the real facts out there, I just wish that the news would give correct info on PE to the extent reporters mention the disease.

We've tried reaching producers and the family - if anyone has access, please either connect us or reach out directly. I would love for the PF to be recognized as a resource when the show airs, at least on Discovery's online edition.

I saw it too. It seemed like they wanted to get info about pre-eclampsia out, but the interview wasn't really focused that way. I hope they can use their fame to help bring awareness to this disease. I imagine someone from the foundation has tried to reached out to them...

The Duggars were on the Today Show this morning. A few facts about PE were presented.

I can't wait to watch it too! Last I read the baby was in stable condition and mom doing well recovering. Has anyone heard anything about this, I heard that she had some experience with pe with one one of her earlier pregnancies. I didn't know pe could come back into play so far into many kids. I guess anything is possible with pe.

Could someone watch it for me and report back? I'll dvr it :)

I'm just nervous, I think - nervous that they'll portray preeclampsia accurately and etc.

I haven't heard anything on how the baby is doing. I will definitely watch to see how they present Preeclampsia.
