Serum profile in PE, IUGR

Several proteins were specifically enriched in isolated preeclampsia and depleted when preeclampsia was complicated by Intra Uterine Growth Restriction. These findings suggest that the growth restricted foeto-placental unit is able to moderate some changes in maternal plasma composition.

These placentas are flipping switches all over the place, and the differences between PE and PE+IUGR might be possible to tease out of we can narrow down *which* proteins get switched from normal, and how. This is just a discussion of a newish technique for finding which proteins are involved.
