My husband, Jackson and I attended the walk this morning, it was beautiful. One of the two coordinators had actually lost her first child to preeclampsia, stillborn at 30 weeks. And one of the speakers, a nurse at the local hospital, had lost her first to preeclampsia 29 years ago. I hate this disease.

It was about the same size as our Santa Barbara WAT, around 100 people and there was a very nice ceremony at the begining which I hope to use as a model for our walk here next year.

As I stood for the ceremony, I watched a couple in front of us cling to eachother for dear life. My heart broke for them as I know that that was Dh and I three years ago, not sure if we'd make it through each day... I pray for a bit of peace and comfort for us all...

Just bumping this up to see if anyone else from Southern CA will be at the walk?

Just talked with one of the organizers and they are going to let us have a booth there in the registration area [:)].

The organizers have gotten back to me and would love for us to distribute our brochures at the walk.

Just wanted to let you know that the Orange County Walk to Remember website has been updated and online registration is now available. http://www.ocwalktoremember.org/index.htm

I've also emailed the coordinators of the walk to see if our brochure can be distributed in the walker bags. Great idea to wear our WAT shirts, I do not have any left but I believe their are several at the Admin Ofc that we can get. As we get closer to the date, please let me know if you'll be needing a T-shirt and I'll make sure we get one.

I will be attending the walk and look forward to anyone who might be able to join. I'll bump this up as we get closer to the date.

I would also like to attend, I'm new and have never been involved in a walk a thon of any kind.

I went to the website and tried to register but I guess need to wait.

I didn't know they did a walk in SoCal, over the past couple of years I had just got info about the national one.

I'll let you know too if I can make it, I would like to. That is a great idea about walking as a group with the PF WAT t-shirts.

I'll let you know if I can pop up... We should all wear our WAT t-shirts (or if you have any left, spread them around!) And bring brochures, I'm sure you'll find some PE survivors in the walk that don't know about the PF.
