So glad they are ok and uhh poor women having the flu. Thanks for updating.

Yuck, I couldn't imagine having a baby while sick like that. I've had the flu once in my life and was fairly certain I was dying...Ugh.

Anyway, I'm glad that mom and baby are doing well. Be sure to mention to them to watch for symptoms for up to 6 weeks ok.

I spoke with my DC lady this afternoon. Both momma and baby are doing well. Apparently, they finally gave up on the vaginal delivery b/c she wasn't dilating past 5 and b/c of the decels. They had to put her completely out for the c-sec b/c her epidural fell out. She needed oxygen b/c of trouble breathing and b/c she had the flu!!! I can't even imagine delivering when you are sick with the flu.
Little baby Natalee was born at 2:33am and weighed in at 4 lbs. 4 oz. She got whisked off to the NICU b/c of respiratory problems but must be doing a lot better b/c she was already in the room with momma trying to BF.

Thanks everyone for all your thoughts, prayers and concern. It worked!!! I'm hoping to get to see them later this week. [:D]

Anton's daycare provider just called a little while ago. Her daughter is in the hospital right now being induced. She has pre-eclampsia, IUGR of the baby and a fever. On top of that, the baby's heartbeat is decelerating with every contraction. She is not at the best hospital in town by any means. I can't figure out why they haven't done a c-section yet. Her mom said her BP is really high and she's due next week, so she's already almost 39 weeks. She's only 19 too. I saw her on Wed and she looked awful. Her face was all swollen so I was asking her if she had any Pre-e symptoms, headaches, vision changes, she said no. She swore she just had a cold. She was seeing her OB on Friday and they ordered a 24 hr urine. They got the results this morning and ordered her to L& D right away. She was supposed to have an ultrasound tomorrow b/c they knew the baby was too small. Please say some prayers that both she and her little girl make it through okay.
