Death of Orlando DJ

Post by specmom » Thu Dec 09, 2004 08:16 pm

Some of you may have heard about yesterday's tragic passing of Dawn Flemming, a popular DJ in the Orlando area with 102 JAMZ who went by the radio name Break-A-Dawn. From what I've read, Dawn was a beautiful young woman who DJ'ed and handled public service/community service announcements for the radio station. Reports state that she was 31, had recently married, and was active in her religious community. She experienced high blood pressure in her pregnancy and fell into a coma after delivering her daughter around Thanksgiving. Her daughter seems to be doing well.

The Preeclampsia Foundation is in the process of reaching out to her family and community to offer support and information. If you would like to read more, another discussion thread was started about her death in the News & Research section of the Forum, .
