Group Coordinator Introduction

Post by aimeejane » Tue May 24, 2005 10:49 am

Hello all!

I am Aimee Woolwine, and I am the coordinator for Georgia. I am 30 years old, with two sons: Nicolas, age 5, and Kalen, almost 2. My husband, Jason, and I live with our boys in Duluth. We are survivors of preeclampsia and eclampsia.

Last summer, I had the priveledge of travelling to Seattle for the first Annual Meeting of the Preeclampsia Foundation. We have so many people dedicated to saving lives in this group; it is truly a blessing!

We have so many things we'd like to accomplish, both in Georgia and nationwide. I'd like to get to know all of you and to find ways we can work together to raise awareness and funds for research and education.

On May 7, 2005, we participated in the PF's first annual Walk-A-Thon. Our local walk, in Norcross, raised almost $1,500 for patient education. Next year's walk will be on May 13, and I hope to see you all there!

Now, what can you do to help? Anything and everything! [:D] We are always in need of people with fundraising experience, those with connections in the medical field or media, etc. Do you have any ideas - no matter how off-the-wall - of ways we can raise money or awareness?

Please feel free to contact me at any time. I look forward to getting to know you!
