Hello Iowan! I was really hoping to get out in late January for a PF event but unfortunately am on limited travel due to health issues but I do have family in Des Moines (my dad, stepmom and brother's family) and my family comes from many generations of Iowans--the first arriving in Baxter in 1850s--on both Mom and Dad's side. Mom was from Waterloo and Dad was from Tama/Toledo. Mom was actually born in Postville but my great granddad had a printing business in Waterloo for many many years. ANYWAY--John and Brenda are coordinating the January event. I encourage you all to connect with them and meet up.

Take care and keep me in the Iowa news loop. I try to get out twice a year and so depending on my DH's schedule or my health--should get out sometime next year before summer.

Just wanted to say hi to folks from my old home! I grew up in Algona and went to Luther College in Decorah. I've been in Kentucky for 12 years now - I can hardly believe it!

I don't miss the weather, but I miss Iowans [:)].

I am from a small town in northeast Iowa between waterloo and cedar rapids. My son was a late diagnoses he was 4lbs 5 oz. when he was born. The doctor that did my c-section said that if I would have tried to have him naturally I he would have died. I am intersted in particapating more in this organization. Are there a whole lot of iowa members?
