With all luck I will be 33 weeks pregnant at that time, but most likely not in traveling condition as I can barely leave the house even now, so I wont' be able to make it :( I really would love to meet some of you gals, so maybe next time.

Hello Again, Everyone.
It's scheduled. We will have a Rememberance Day get-together on Saturday, Nov. 4. The meeting will take place at HAPPY JOE'S PIZZA and ICE CREAM PARLOR at 2430 Spruce Hills Drive in Bettendorf, Iowa. The meeting will start at 10am. Happy Joe's is a potential MAJOR SPONSOR for the 2007 WAT, so I thought it might help to patronize them. This location does serve breakfast, and has offered to give us the lunch buffet at a discounted rate. By coincidance the manager of this location has a child born 5 weeks premature, and one of the assistants has a child born 10 weeks early.
This location is easy to find. From I-80 take I-74 to the Middle Road exit. Turn east on Middle Road and drive 1 mile to the Spruce Hills Drive intersection. Turn north, and Happy Joe's is on the right side of the road.
I look forward to meeting with everyone, listening to stories, and sharing ideas for the 2007 Walk.
Please rsvp no later than Oct.31, and please pass this on.
Thank You.

OOh I have been there too. It was good. Unfortunately, Nov. 4th is my sons birthday party so I won't be able to drive out. We will have to figure a tome again.

You have to go to the Iowa Machine Shed, it is SOOOO much better than Cracker Barrel! Get some local food!!

OK, just checked the schedule. My husband works every other weekend at the hospital and is off the weekend of November 11th. Drat. Maybe it will have to wait until after the new year for me to drive that way but I will do it by golly sometime! I need a roadtrip!

Hi Sue,
I apologize for being M.I.A. lately and not updating everyone on our plans for a get-together.
The Quad Cities YM/YWCA is having a Healthy Lifestyle Fair on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 8am till noon. I've been invited to have a table at this event to represent the PF and distribute brochures and info about the 2007 WAT (already have the WAT site reserved!). I think I can accomplish more by being at this event. So, I won't be able to make Chicago or have a local get-together. Sorry! But, I have tentatively scheduled Saturday, November 4th as our local get-together. That's the earliest date that I'll be available, as Oct. 21 doesn't work, and we'll be at Saving Grace Oct.26-28. I'll be sending out more info on our get-together later this week, and would be grateful to all who can attend. Hope this will work for your schedules.

John

What about coming up to Chicago from your area? It will take me 3 hrs plus some to get to Chicago and the same amount if not more to travel to IA border where you are .. and then 5+ hours to get home and go to work Sunday night. Want to make it a BIG Chicago gathering? Three posters here are IL members and I am an IN member, would you want to come this way to meet or would that be too hard? Just asking. :-)

I like that restaurant. And with dragging my whole family there to meet, we could pick up a souvenir magnet for our fridge from their gift shop! hehehe

I could do that drive blindfolded!! When I lived in Co. I took I-80 through Iowa to Il and we always stopped at the Cracker Barrel in Davenport off I-80. Keep me posted. I would make a trip there.
