Glad everything is ok, I am sorry to hear about your grandmas house but am thankful she was ok, and that is def different having to take time off from work to grocery shop[:)]

I hope your husband gets back soon you are very right single parenting duty is extremely tough, I will def keep you guys in my thoughts please keep us updated.

All is ok here. My husband has been gone with both Guard and Homeland Security duties. I have been pulling single parent duty and it is tough!! There's something to be said for women who balance a job, kids, and the entire household chores/activities!!!

I've been off and on busy with work. Some days are easier than others. My grandmother's house will have to be bulldozed. She saved a few pieces of crystal but that was about it. She had around 9.5 feet of funk water in her house. But she's ok and that's what matters.

My parents have moved back home. They have curfew and limited options of things to do but they have power and jobs. The grocery is only open during the day so they have to take leave from work to do the groceries. How crazy!!

Cara, glad to hear you are alright - sorry to hear about the CO in your house, tho'.

The FIL and family did get out. They heard from a neighbor that stayed - that their house in LC was ok. Its hard to tell just how bad/not so bad things are there. It seems the media got into Galvaston, so all the news is from TX and not the LA side....

We did ok, no power in BR yet again. It was a little worse in BR than Katrina. All night long, tree branches were hitting the house, I shared a bed with Grant and it was AWFUL! I have no idea how people sleep with their kids in the bed.

But we are all alive and well, thank the Lord.

Cara, how did it go during the storm? Do y'all still have power? It was about like Katrina here, not too bad. Just some really high winds. I tried to call yesterday, but didn't get an answer. Figured you were probably still at work.

Tanya, did your family make it out of town? Everybody still ok?

Alex, I haven't heard from you yet. I heard there were 8,000 evacuees in Alexandria, so I'm sure it's that packed in Monroe, too. Monroe was supposed to get it pretty bad, so let us know how you are.

I wish somehow this thing would just break apart. It looks like it'll be bad no matter where it hits, but I don't think the LA/MS coast can suffer any more damage. I know TX doesn't need it either.
