It looks like this one is done by the state instead of the hospital. I hope that might be helpful.

Thanks so much for your reply! Who would I call about this? I called the hospital in Shreveport where i had him and they told me NO, I can't get one!! Any ideas you have would be really appreciated!!

Yes mam. I live in Lafayette, Louisiana and due to PE and HELLP gave birth to my son on 05/11/11 at 22 weeks with no heartbeat. The **** hospital Social Worker still drew up a birth certificate with this foot prints for me showing date, time, mother and father's info.

Hi there...I have a question for yall that live in Louisiana..I had Alex at a hospital in Louisiana..I had been told that in some states you can get a birth certificate for stillborn babies...I read on some websites that Louisiana is one of those states...does anyone have any expierence with this? I would really like to have a birth certificate for him if at all possible..thanks so much :)
