Sorry I just saw your post. Yes we did have the walk on June 26th. We raised over $1700 in our 1st year and it wasn't a public walk just a family and friends. We live in a town with about 400 residents so I think we did okay. My daughter is the preeclampsia and HELLP survivor. I added you as a friend on facebook too. Hope all is well. I am thinking of going to Saving Grace this year in Seattle. We are having another walk next year. We don't know the location yet as we are joining another mom who just had her son in July. So I will try and keep you updated. Take care

My name is Vanita Panjwani. This is the 1st time I saw a forum specifically for the Michigan group. Did you have a walk on the 26th? I am sorry I missed it. I did not even know about it till today!! DO any of you know if there is going to be another one in this area. I live in Northville, MI about 25 miles from Detroit. I suffered from pre-eclampsia with my last pregnancy and with the grace of God gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who is now 2 1/2 yrs old. The pregnancy was a rocky road and the preeclampsia forum was a source of tremendous support and knowledge, sometimes even more than my regular doctor visits. So how many ladies do we have on this forum from Michigan?

We will be having a Michigan Walk on June 26,2010 in Lawton Michigan. It is about 20 minutes from Kalamazoo. 90 minutes from Lansing. 2 hours from Detriot Metro. Please contact me for more information. Come walk with us and raise awareness.

Hi Maya, I'm not from Michigan, but DH is and we try to get out there at least once a year. I just wanted to welcome you and wish you a big CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of little Lily! I hope that she continues to do well and is home before you know it.

I know your life is a bit crazy right now, but we'd love to hear any updates when you have a minute. Feel free to check out some of the other boards (Parents of Preemies in particular), and please don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have or just vent, if need be.

Maya in Warren and I'm new to the site. I wanted to introduce myself and also ask that I also be notified of any local events, etc. I was diagnosed with severe pre-eclampsia a week and one day ago; Lilith was born 7 days ago at 33 6/7. We're thankful to report she's doing great at the ****** NICU ... slowly gaining grams at the moment (weighed 3lb 8oz at birth). She weighed 3lb 4oz this morning.
