A Walk To Remember Edison, NJ

Post by cshap68 » Sun Jul 31, 2005 10:20 pm

Two years ago, my wife and I lost our daughter Shelby at 38 weeks due to Preeclampsia and Hellp Syndrome. The doctors had to deliver our dead daughter immediately before my wife, Gena, died as well. The doctors had to once again save Gena a week later when she had a terrible seizure as a result of the situation as well.
We attended a walk in memory of children that were lost just like Shelby only six weeks after losing our daughter. It was a terrifying, yet incredible experience for us. We vowed to organize a walk the next year. Last October, with the help of 175 walkers, we raised $11,000 for the local and national offices of SHARE Infant and Pregnancy Loss Inc. This groups provides support for families that have suffered as all of us at this site have.
On October 1, 2005 in Edison, NJ.....we will be holding our second annual walk. We hope to get even more walkers and raise even more money and awareness of pregnancy and neonatal loss. If you are interested, feel free to email me or call at (732)296-8884 or you can check out the walk's website and see pics, read our story, and print a registration form. www.geocities.com/walktorememb/index.html
