I really can not say Thank you enough for everyone's help with the Dayton WAT. We had a beautiful day, a little hot and humid but the trail was in the shade. And all the activities were inside a huge room filled with AC (YEAH) Ben (my DH) did a wonderful job doing everything on his hunny do list (I will be paying for it for a very long time [;)]) Between Melissa and Ben they did a wonderful job speaking and the tears were flowing. We had a small crowd but the connections that were made were HUGE!
The Children's Discovery Garden was a hit with the kids since they had water falls, a music maze, etc.
The Bake Sale - I never seen so much baked items in my life. It was wonderful. What we did not sell Danielle suggested we bring it to the Ronald McDonald house in Dayton. After a few phone calls - we have many thankful parents for wonderful "goodies" (it was a good thing because my son was eye up most of them)
Melissa had a table and I can tell you how beautiful her jewelry is in person.
Riley had a lemonade stand and she raised 15.00
We had 25 walkers and raised just a little over $1,000. The rewards and comments from some people was enough for me to say wow, all the blood, sweat and tears were well worth it!
We took a vote and we will be holding the 4th Annual Preeclampsia Awareness Walk at the same location! We took notes on what to do for next year (You can really see the planning group for next year all ready starting to plan!)
Way to go Ladies... I am so proud of each and every one of you!!!
Pictures will be posted whenever I can unpack the box where the camera is [:D]
