Hi Rosemary,

The state of Pennsylvania, or anyother state for that matter does not have "chapters." However, there can be a group of "Western Pennsylvania State" members who get together. This is from Carol explaing why we do not have chapters: The term ‘chapter’ carries certain legal and administrative responsibilities that are not currently in place in our state groups, so it is vitally important to recognize that all local efforts are – at this point – simply a way to harness the energies of members who are geographically connected. State groups are local arms of the national organization, so to speak. We want to avoid any legal wrangles that could come from a misunderstanding of what our state groups represent. An official legal ‘chapter’ would actually have to be incorporated/registered as its own non-profit organization in that state, would have its own board, financials & accounting, etc. We are not to that point yet for various reasons at the national level.
