I am in Lynchburg!!

In January of 2010, after a week of strange symptoms, my doctor diagnosed HELLP syndrome with Pre-e, and my son was born via emergency c/s that day.

I am currently 23.5 weeks pregnant with number two, due in Feb.

Eleni thanks. Yes I have found a MFM in Roanoke, Charleston SC and at UVA. Yes the mountains and scenery is beautiful here and luckily I live on top of a mountain so I get the best of both worlds LOL I was just looking for women who has had these syndromes in my area. So far noone has responded and that is a good thing. I heard there is a good dr in Lynchburg. Did yo uhave any of your pre-e care there?

Hey, I just had to give a shout out to Lynchburg. I spent 4 years there at LC and loved it. Not having grown up in a small town, it was a wonderful departure from the hustle and bustle of the DC area. Peaks of Otter, Autumn in the Blue Ridge Mountains...ahhh. And who can forget 3 AM at the "Texas Inn" for greasy burgers? Reminiscing aside, I unfortunately cannot help you with docs or MFMs since I was (thankfully) not looking for them as a college student ;-) Have you checked the Physician Locator on the SMFM website? www.smfm.org

I'm in Pulaski, 50 miles West of Roanoke. However my OB and MFM is in Roanoke and I will deliver in Roanoke as well.

Anyone in the Lynchburg, VA area?

1st preg-seizures, diagnosed with eclampsia, emergency c-section at around 29 weeks. William 2lb 11oz IUGR, he's now healthy and 4 years old

2nd preg- pre e at 32 weeks, medicated/bedrest until 36 weeks, c-section. Elisabeth born just under 4lbs with mild iugr.

Wanting to TTC #3 but looking for docs/info in our area. We're in a small county, the closest "big city" is Lynchburg :)
