Kara,
I couldn't believe they let me go that long either. But since all I had was one isolated reading of moderately high BP (I think it was like 130/88 or something) one time at 38 weeks, and my protein dips were all zero, there was no reason for intervention. And I'm glad, because things went naturally and quickly, and I didn't feel like garbage afterward. However, I did have some high BP readings 2 or 3 weeks postpartum that I can't figure out, and no other symptoms or signs of PE. Then after 1 month postpartum BP was totally fine.
