Glad you ladies had a good time at the meeting. It was wonderful to meet you Jenny and Kara (Avery too)! I'll be replying to your emails shortly on the brochure issue.

Any thoughts on our next meeting? I'm looking at a May delivery (hopefully no earlier), and Alissa will be most likely on bedrest in the future here, so scheduling will be fun.

Victoria is just like Cassius--active and testing out the world. It's cute but drives us crazy.

I'm glad to have a meeting group and forum for us to learn about this condition, share experiences, and get tips on child rearing.

I'm excited about the brochure campaign! Since my experience was so recent, I still have a pretty great network of medical contacts in relevant areas. The midwives who took care of me, up to and even after they turned my care over to the obstetrics department; the obestetricians that took care of me; the obstetric nurses at the hospital; and the special care nursery/NICU nurses and neonatologists that took care of Avery for her 27 day hospital stay. I also have a group of girlfriends that are planning on starting families, and of course they all have friends doing the same. I think this will be a great opportunity to get the word out!

I wanted to mention that I looked up Dr. Brewer after getting home last night (you peaked my interest), and it appears the fellow died in November. In case you hadn't heard, I thought I'd pass on the news.

Denise, thanks for your sharing your experience with baby acid reflux. I feel empowered and happy that I challenged my pediatrician. I'll let you know what the peds gastro says!
