You have a really small chance of developing hellp again. I would make sure to find a Dr you feel very comfortable with and take your blood pressure at home everyday. Some people who had PE or Hellp like to do a blood work up to check for blood clotting disorders or auto ammuine diseases.

But we're terrified!

I'm a type 1 diabetic and developed HELLP at 35+5. I delivered our son by emergency section under general anaesthetic, he was in the SCBU for a week and I was on several drips/wired up to machines for a couple of days then discharged 5 days later. He is now 4 years old and just wonderful!

Anyway, I have a yearning for a 2nd child, so my husband and I have an appointment with the consultant at the hospital at the end of this month to discuss things.

I'm so scared though, does anyone have any advice or words of encouragement?
