There's usually a big difference in rate of progression between first and second pregnancies, because the fact that you have been pregnant before makes it easier for the placenta to implant and develop properly. So PE tends to be milder and later in subsequent pregnancies.
My PE was managed for slightly over two days before delivery, just long enough to get steroids on board. They started an induction, but things were going downhill too quickly and I got a Caesarean about 51 hours after they started the steroid shots - we just made it through the 48 hour window for acceleration of lung development.
