Re: Dropping percentiles

Hi! During my second pregnancy I had a similar experience with my daughter Maddalena. Though my uterine arteries flow was getting better after week 28 or 30 she started to decrease her size from the 50th percentile to the 20th or even somewhat lower. Due to my previous experience they weren't partic...

Re: Recovery course after HELLP syndrome?

Though my hellp was milder ( I didn't need transfusions) it took 2-3 weeks for my bp to stabilize, and a few more weeks to overcome weakness and felt my old (healthy) self again. I am sure your condition will improve soon

Re: Testing done during postpartum period?

My lupus anticoagulant for example is borderline, depending on the type of test I test either positive or negative. Apparently it stays the same pregnant or nor. Even such a mild LAC was enough for me to develop hellp et 32 weeks during my first pregnancy, during my second pregnancy I developed only...

Re: Unable to breastfeed and milk supply

With my first daughter Viola It took about two months for her to actually breastfeed (she spent 5 weeks in the NICU). My supply was not enough so I always gave her formula as well but in the end I was very happy to nurse until her first birthday and I think it was beneficial. Not easy, I remember my...

Re: How did you 2nd pregnancy turn out after HELLP go?

Hi! I had class II Hellp at 32+3 weeks with my first daughter Viola, thankfully I recovered pretty fast and Viola is very healthy now (she spent 5 weeks in the NICU after birth with several temporary preemie issues). 15 months later I got pregnant with my second daughter Maddalena and had a fairly g...

Re: Bottles and Pacifiers

Both my girls love the Nuk nipples (with both of them I have been mixing breast and bottles, my first Viola is the preemie while Maddalena is a 37 weeker). Viola loved the pacifier (Mebby...may ba an italian brand, it's natural gum) while Maddalena doesnt' want any pacifier (she is 4 months now)

Re: IUGR Moms

Also my Viola caught up with size in just a few months. Also my second delivery was a c-section because VBAC is not that common in Italy and in addition Maddalena was breech. Good luck!

Re: IUGR Moms

Hi! My doctors were more concerned about the dopplers than absolute size. With my first daughter we discovered she was iugr at 27 weeks (20 weeks scan she was in the 50th percentile). At that stage she was already below the 10th percentile and I was having PE symptoms. My doppler were worsening in t...

Re: NERVOUS ABOUT DELIVERY!!

Hi! I had two c-sections (emergency the first, scheduled the second with two spinal blocks). The spinal blocks were both very smooth, no pain at al during the surgery, pretty fast recovering with no side effects. Second time they gave me morphine as a painkiler (maybe even first but I was very sick ...

Re: Antiphospholipids Syndrome information?

hi! I am in a somewhat similar situation with antiphospholipid, so maybe my experience is helpful. I ha my first daughter at 32 weeks due to PE and sudden onset of hellp. before that I didn't have any miscarriage or coagulation problem. I did the trombophiliac panel at least three times ( 6, 9 and 1...
