Re : Hurricane Gustav

<t>Northern louisiana has gotten slammed with flooding and power/utility outages. There are a ton of evacuees from south la here, most of them are desperate to go home, but can't even if their parishes are open, because the roads aren't. I am thankful that this one was no Katrina but I am shocked at...

Re : Preemies Grow Up Shy?

<t>Sheri-ct, your comment about your friend made me smile - my dh is a 39 year old 34 weeker. He is definitely shy and introverted, but has managed to get married and have three kids. Well, the marriage and kids thing was my idea, but still... <br/> <br/> I wish I knew as much about the etiology of ...

Re : Preeclampsia on TV show

<t>Rosemary, I totally agree. <br/> <br/> It opens up the discussion...it seems like even 10, 15 years ago anything other than "normal" pregnancy was almost unmentionable. <br/> <br/> What I have noticed personally is that people in my immediate circle have seen one of those shows or heard about a c...

Re : Conference on Prematurity

That's infuriating. I'm glad that they had the conference, and hopeful about the good things coming out of it - but it's sad that they chose to limit their focus.
