Re: Does HELLP present the same in subsequent pregnancy's?

Wow what a coincidence - I was c-sectioned on 19th December, baby girl Paige born weighing 6 pounds 15 (3.15kg), home after 2 nights in hospital and all going well. Platelets were 161 the week of the c-section (higher than they ever were with my son!). Terrible nausea continued throughout the 9 mont...

Re: Does HELLP present the same in subsequent pregnancy's?

Just wondering how you are doing? And hope everything is going well.

I got my elective csection date today, just before christmas, and despite growth scans, liver scans and blood tests everything is looking "normal", so counting down the days!

Re: Does HELLP present the same in subsequent pregnancy's?

Just seen this, having rushed to post before my son arrives home! I hope you are doing well, it sounds like we have quite a bit in common. I think my RUQ pain started about 30 weeks last time and i was emergency induced at 38weeks, and this time it started over the weekend at almost 30 weeks! **HUGS**

A painful feeling of deja vu

https://www.preeclampsia.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=85&t=42655 Two and a half years ago at 38 weeks I was diagnosed with HELLP and despite a long recovery me and my son had no long lasting effects. I am now 30 weeks pregnant and have started experiencing the same upper right abdominal pain that I rem...

Re: HELLP with no symptoms?

I had no obvious symptoms of HELLP, beyond my platelets slowly dropping from 30 weeks (which does happen anyway in a normal pregnancy). Like you mine was picked up by bloodwork (at 38weeks), with induction immediately following. My platelets plummeted in the last 5 days, ending at ~32 in the hours b...

I can offer no advice, above that already given, but just wanted to send long distance hugs to you and her whole family - she is in my thoughts and prayers.

Re: Looking to talk to some mums who suffered HELLP syndrome

**HUGS** From Surrey! (hope you are warmer than us at the moment!). It does get better, easier to talk about and somewhat easier to hear stories of "easy labours/pregnancies". If you are interested in finding out what happened during the time you don't remember you can request your medical records f...

Re: Uric acid in blood

I just googled the hospital name and request records and it came back with: http://www.epsom-sthelier.nhs.uk/contact-us/access-to-health-records/ At worst you'll have to phone someone, but by law they have to release them to you (mine makes you pay for the copying though!) Let me know if you have an...
