Lorelai Victoria has arrived!

Hi ladies. Thanks for all your support over the last 9ish months! Hard to believe that our little girl has finally arrived. Lorelai Victoria was born, healthy!, at 7:06 AM on Saturday, October 8th. She weighed 5 lb 5.25 oz and was 18.25 inches. Despite her small size, she was full term at 37 weeks, ...

Possible induction tomorrow

So had my 37 week check up today. Had some protein in the urine ugh..never had that before at the Docs office..and a higher BP. I didn't ask what it was. It's one of those if I knew how high, I'd stress about it. Doc was concerned enough to tell me that after my 24 hr urine is turned in tomorrow, if...

Off to the hospital

Ok, so perhaps I'm freaking for no reason, but as my due date looms closer and I've had a pretty uneventful pregnancy minus a few scares--we're off to L&D. I had a BP of 140/91, which is not terribly high, but it has been on the constant rise.
Wish us luck!

Re: Did you still work?

I actually did not work with my first pregnancy, which was no where nearly as devastating of an outcome as yours. I actually wasn't working because I had just graduated from college, was studying for my boards, my husband ended up getting shot in Iraq, and there was just SO much going on in my life,...

Re: Ok perhaps TMI..but question about the mucous plug?

LMAO! I told my husband last night "um well this might be too much information for you but I'm pretty sure I'm losing my mucous plug" I really thought he'd be grossed out..his "oh thank God this should move right along like normal" response was a little much lol

Ok perhaps TMI..but question about the mucous plug?

Ok..so since I was induced early last time I'm not really up on what happens after 32 weeks lol except from what I learned in nursing school and quite honestly--experience is better than school when it comes to pregnancy. So. Give me the down low on this whole mucous plug ordeal? Because I googled w...

Re: Are you getting a flu shot?

Oh and as for the hepatitis B vaccine--I understand your concerns there but 20-30% of the people who do have Hepatitis B (which if I remember correctly is somewhere just over a million people in the US alone), contracted it as a child--and those who didn't contract it at birth contracted it while in...
